This year marked Atlas Copco’s 140th anniversary. As a thank you to our past and present employees, one lucky employee received an opportunity of a lifetime to go behind the scenes with Stewart-Haas racing during the Oct. 10-12, 2013 NASCAR race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

Employee Mark Kiser had his name, along with the Atlas Copco logo, printed on Ryan Newman’s No. 39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet Impala. Kiser, who works as an Atlas Copco sales manager in California, was chosen from a pool of more than 130 employee entries. As part of the race weekend experience, Kiser received two pre-race garage credentials for the full race weekend, two suite tickets to the Sprint Cup Series race on Oct. 12 and the opportunity to meet Newman before the race.

“I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to go behind the scenes to see firsthand everything that goes into a successful race,” said Kiser. “Everyone at Stewart-Haas racing was so gracious and meeting Ryan and the other members of his team reminded me that I, too, have a great team to help me ‘win the race.’”

We’ve partnered with Stewart-Haas Racing since 2007, both as a compressed air provider and as an associate sponsor, which allowed us to honor our employees in this exciting way. As part of the continued partnership, Stewart-Haas Racing headquarters in Kannapolis, N.C., was outfitted with Atlas Copco Compressors’ new SmartLink technology, which provides 24/7 remote monitoring of the team’s compressed air system to ensure continuous uptime and peak performance.
