Atlas Copco Extends Partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing and No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS (Video)

/

With the Daytona 500 only two days away, we are excited to announce an extended partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing as an associate sponsor of the No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS and driver Kurt Busch during the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

Stewart-Haas Racing is a title-winning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owned by three-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation, the largest CNC machine tool builder in the western world.

We have a longstanding and successful partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing that goes back to the race team’s first year in 2009. It’s a partnership that extends from the track to the race shop.

As part of the relationship, we are installing new compressed air equipment, including the latest energy efficient range of air compressors, AIRNet piping and SmartLink monitoring technology, into SHR’s new 125,000 sq.-ft. state-of-the-art race shop expansion located next to the team’s existing headquarters in Kannapolis. SmartLink provides 24/7 remote monitoring of the team’s compressed air system to ensure continuous uptime and peak performance.

Sustainability is a key theme to the shop expansion and our compressors will ensure that despite doubling their air capacity, they won’t have to double their energy bill. In fact, with the new energy-saving equipment, SHR will see only a minimal increase, which will help keep resources focused on putting racecars in the victory lane.

Even Stewart is impressed by the new GA VSD+.

This year is the first time Atlas Copco will appear as an associate sponsor of an SHR car for the full season. Atlas Copco will appear on the B-post of Busch’s No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS and on the sleeve of Busch’s firesuit.

More information about Atlas Copco’s Racing Program is available here: www.atlascopco.us/racing.

Stewart-Haas Racing fields four entries in the elite Sprint Cup Series – the No. 14 Bass Pro Shops/Mobil 1 Chevrolet for Stewart, the No. 10 GoDaddy Chevrolet for Danica Patrick, the No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet for Kevin Harvick and the No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet for Kurt Busch.
