Even though we’re months away from our country’s official holiday dedicated to giving thanks, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to our passionate customers, partners and employees who have helped us create exceptional and innovative products for the last 64 years.
In June of 1950, Atlas Copco Compressors opened its first U.S. sales offices in San Francisco and New York. Over the years, we’ve invested in partnerships with regional distributors, in product innovation based on customer needs, and in distribution centers, original parts facilities and compressor manufacturing plants. We’ve invested in sustainable productivity solutions in order to deliver to our customers the most energy efficient products in the marketplace.
But innovation is a two-way street. We know that without our customers, there would be no innovation. That’s why we’ve constantly sought feedback and set out to make an impact through research and development, our global service network and sustainability initiatives like the VSD for Life campaign following the launch of the GA VSD+ range of oil-injected rotary screw compressors.
For each VSD+ kilowatt sold, Atlas Copco planted a tree through WeForest, an international non-profit committed to creating and promoting a pioneer movement in large-scale sustainable reforestation. So far, with the help of our customers, 250,000 trees have been planted, resulting in 600 acres of reforestation in Burkino-Faso.
