Atlas Copco to Exhibit at 2018 WEFTEC Conference

/

Atlas Copco will be heading to New Orleans, LA, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 for the 2018 WEFTEC Conference. At the show, Atlas Copco will showcase the new ZB oil-free turbo blower in addition to the ZL oil-free lobe blowers, ZS oil-free rotary screw blowers and Optimizer 4.0. Attendees are invited to stop by booth 4837 to learn more about the latest blower technologies and central control system.

The newest generation of the ZB blowers features magnetic bearings providing worry-free performance reliability. Its magnetic bearing controller compiles information from position sensors to dynamically adjust the shaft’s position. Delivering Class 0 certified oil-free air, the ZB turbo blower ensures that processes receive clean air for trouble-free and continuous operation. The ZB series does not require a power bank in the case of power failure to safely stop, making it one of the most dependable high-speed blowers ever made.

The ZL lobe blower utilizes a positive displacement principle perfect for low pressure applications in pneumatic transport, wastewater treatment and chemical processes. Even in harsh weather environments, the ZL series operates efficiently with its cooling system and integrated safety and start-up valve. Thanks to its small footprint and compact design, this machine can be quickly and easily integrated into existing process air systems.

With the ZS screw blower, the internal air flow path is optimized to reduce pressure drops and air turbulence. The machine achieves maximum savings through its internal compression, integrated gearbox, smooth silencer and inlet filter. Further savings can be achieved using the ZS blower’s variable speed drive (VSD), which matches motor speed to meet flexible air demand. The new optional direct drive permanent magnet options provide the highest efficiency with a broad turndown range.

The latest Optimizer 4.0 central controller links all machines, be it blowers, compressors and/or dryers,  to maximize efficient operation. The control system selects the best machine combination to deliver the required air output in the most efficient way. It can be set up to equalize the running hours on multiple machines for more efficient service schedule preventing unequal wear.

WEFTEC is the largest annual water quality event in the world, drawing more than 32,000 attendees and 1,640 exhibitors from over 128 countries. For more information, or to register, please visit the WEFTEC website.
