From Sept. 26-28 Atlas Copco will be at WEFTEC 2016, the Water Environment Federations’ Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. Since 1928, WEFTEC has been a leading tradeshow for water quality developments, research regulations, solutions and cutting edge technology.

We will be at booth No. 3641. Representatives will be available at the booth on Sept. 26-28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to discuss blower technology. We will also be holding a hospitality event on Sept. 26 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with beverages, hors d’oeuvres and a special presentation of our latest technology.

The ZS and ZB series of blower technology will be on display throughout the exhibition. With energy efficiency 40 percent higher than tri-lobe blowers, the ZS range of blowers complies with ISO 8573-1 Class Zero certification for 100 percent oil-free air, completely eliminating the risk of oil contamination. The ZB series also guarantees reliable oil-free air in a ready to run, small footprint package.

Both ranges are ideal for wastewater aeration, a key step in the wastewater treatment process. Bacteria feed on the organic waste, turning it into carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water. Oxygen is a necessary component of this process and must be aerated by blowers. Though blowers typically make up 70 percent of electricity costs at wastewater treatment centers, costs can be reduced almost 30 percent by capturing, improving, and using digester gas in addition to low pressure blowers.

Will you be at WEFTEC 2016? Let us know in the comments below or reach out to an Atlas Copco expert to learn more about efficiency blowers for the wastewater treatment industry. See you there!
