In 2013, we kicked off our 140th anniversary by ringing the opening bell at the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York’s Times Square. From our roots in Sweden as a manufacturer of railroad rolling stock to our current position as a world-leading supplier of compressed air solutions, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems, we have been innovating throughout our history. And, though much has changed since 1873, we remain committed to developing leading-edge technology while contributing positively to our stakeholders and the environment.

We know that success is built upon social and environmental responsibility – not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because it is critical for developing and growing in a profitable way. That’s why we’re proud to have been included in the following rankings and indices this year:

A focus on sustainable business practices is only becoming more important as we move into 2014. For instance, in the United States, millions of dollars in tax credits are available for investment in clean energy manufacturing and new technologies that continue to reduce carbon emissions. Sustainability is no longer a buzzword; companies that invest in new, more efficient technology will see the benefits of energy savings both environmentally and financially.
