As we celebrate Safety, Health and Wellbeing Day, it's important to reflect on the significance of safety, health and wellbeing in our daily lives. Today’s celebration at Atlas Copco PC Indiana coincides with Atlas Copco entities around the globe and the UN’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Day is a day that reminds us to prioritize safety and health not only in the workplace, but also for our customers. It’s day for us to reflect on our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for everyone.
The theme this year is ‘Working Together Safely’ – ensuring we work with all those in our value chain including employees, customers, suppliers, contractors, and distributors. In short, this means extending our approach that ‘safety is 100% of our behavior 100% of the time’ to all interactions with our value chain.
On an impressive note, PC Indiana is pleased to announce a significant safety milestone at our Michigan City, Indiana manufacturing facility, where we have achieved an entire year without any serious (recordable/lost time) accidents. This remarkable accomplishment highlights our unwavering commitment to creating a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees.
Our journey towards this milestone began with fostering a safety culture that permeates every aspect of our operations. By integrating safety into our daily routines and decision-making processes, we've been able to establish a strong foundation that encourages safe practices and minimizes potential hazards. We believe that safety is a shared responsibility, and we've empowered our employees to be proactive in identifying and addressing potential safety concerns.
Moreover, our safety initiatives extend beyond our own facilities. We strive to ensure that our customers receive products and solutions that adhere to the highest safety standards.
