Webcast Today: Energy Efficiency for Small and Mid-Sized Manufacturers

/

Join us today for a webcast on Energy Efficiency for Small and Mid-Sized Manufacturers, hosted by Plant Engineering magazine and sponsored in part by Atlas Copco. The webcast will take place at 2 p.m. EST and all attendees will be eligible to receive one RCEP / ACEC Certified Professional Development Hour (PDH).

Efficiency Programs Offer Significant Savings for SMMs

Small and medium size manufacturers (SMMs) comprise approximately 90 percent of manufacturing establishments but use only 50 percent of the energy consumed by industry. These facilities also pay higher energy prices, so the potential for energy savings can add up to a larger percentage of facility costs.

Ethan Rogers, senior program manager for industry at the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), will discuss the types of efficiency programs available to SMMs as well as those serving the industrial sector as a whole. The webcast will also review findings from a recent ACEEE report, “One Small Step for Energy Efficiency: Targeting Small and Medium-Sized Manufacturers,” which analyzed efficiency programs developed to meet the needs of SMMs, including energy audits, rebates and informational materials.

The presentation will be followed by a live question and answer session.
