Geenen will be associated with Atlas Copco Compressors’ new vacuum solutions group where he will work to grow Atlas Copco’s rough vacuum segment in North America. The segment focuses on products and solutions such as the GVS oil-sealed rotary screw vacuum package. The GVS is Atlas Copco’s first packaged vacuum system for rough vacuum operations between 29.9 in-HgV and 15 in-HgV. It delivers capacities between 365 to 3,000 cfm, making it the ideal machine for applications in the electronics, woodworking, bottling and canning, packaging, printing and plastics industries.

The GVS range can also help plants achieve significant energy and maintenance savings by replacing multiple remote vacuum pumps with a centralized system. The central vacuum system provides air and vacuum for several machines at the same time, which means all equipment can be stored in a separate room to free up factory floor space.

Geenen received his Bachelor of Science in engineering from Purdue University Calumet and worked previously in engineering, package design and sales and marketing management. Prior to joining Atlas Copco, Geenen owned and operated a vacuum pump manufacturing and sales organization that was selected to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the U.S.
