Small Compressor Service Made Easy

Some jobs are better left to the pros, but, when you’re able to handle a task yourself, it can instill great pride and satisfaction in a job well done. That’s why we assembled this short video that serves as a simple guide to help walk customers through some routine air compressor maintenance procedures. Major service should always be left to professionals, but some yearly upkeep can be managed directly by air compressor customers if they’re so inclined.

In this video, you’ll see how to change the oil, oil filter and oil separator, air filter, and belt on Atlas Copco GX and GA air compressor models. If you’ve ever changed the oil or air filter in your car, you’ll see it’s not much different here (it might be even easier because you don’t have to crawl under the compressor on your back and contort your hands into unnatural positions that give you zero torque).

Have you handled routine maintenance on your air compressors? Please feel free to share any tips you’ve picked up along the way in the space below for the rest of our readers.
