We officially introduced the GA VSD+ range of oil-injected rotary screw compressors to the automotive aftermarket industry a few weeks ago at SEMA 2013. SEMA is one of the premier automotive specialty products trade shows, attracting tens of thousands of attendees to the Las Vegas Convention Center every year.
Traffic at the Atlas Copco booth in the North Hall was busy and we enjoyed meeting and getting to know the people who stopped by. Enthusiastic trade show attendees posed for photos with the star of the show, the GA VSD+, and learned about its innovative design that reduces energy consumption by up to 50 percent compared to a load/unload compressor of the same type.
Attendees also learned that the GA VSD+ can save an auto body shop more than $10,000 per year based on the potential energy savings of just one 15 horsepower machine. It also features a compact footprint and low noise levels, so it can be installed directly onto the floor of the shop for easy access to the highest quality compressed air.
