Did you know Atlas Copco offers a comprehensive line of products and services for the oil and gas industry? We’ll showcase our products and services at the 2014 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), an annual conference and trade show for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection, from May 5-8 at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas at booth No. 5752.

We provide reliable equipment for many challenging oil and gas applications from exploration to power generation. The following are a sampling of applications that use our air and gas compressors, expansion turbines, mobile drill rigs, drilling hammers, gas and air purification systems and diesel generators.

Upstream Applications

  • Before drilling can begin, seismic exploration helps unearth hydrocarbon deposits both onshore and offshore.
  • Once geologists have identified and evaluated a prospective location, exploration and production drilling can begin.
  • The processing and treatment of crude oil makes it safe and viable for downstream petrochemical processes.

Midstream Applications

  • From producing regions to a network of consumption points, pipeline transport and instrumentation moves gas and oil over long distances.
  • If pipeline transport is economically unfeasible, gas can be liquefied and transported aboard vessels and tanker trucks; nitrogen blanketing guarantees a safe regasification process.

Downstream Applications

  • Refinery and petrochemical applications include sulphur removal, process heating, catalyst regeneration, hydrogen recovery, instrument air and purification, among others.
  • The final stage involves distribution to the energy market and power generation industries. Compressed natural gas is a popular alternative fuel, and fuel gas boosters feed turbines at natural gas-driven power plants.

Are you attending the 2014 Offshore Technology Conference? Stop by booth No. 5752 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 5-7 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 8 to learn about our complete line of products and global service network. Visit our website at www.atlascopco.com/oilandgasus.
