Each year, millions of Americans make New Year’s resolutions to get healthy, save money and improve their lives and the lives of those around them. Unfortunately, according to statisticbrain.com, only eight percent of people who make resolutions are successful in achieving their resolution. The positive news is that 45 percent of Americans maintain at least one resolution for as long as six months. It is possible to succeed.
In December 2013, we drafted our top three resolutions that apply to both our personal lives and our compressed air systems. Don’t wait until this December to get back on the horse. It’s never too late to apply the following tips for a happy, successful and fruitful 2014.
Save money.
Schedule time in your calendar this month to “walk the line” and identify any audible leaks in your compressed air piping system. Establishing the habit of regular check-ups in your facility will help you catch the small issues before they become big problems.
If you haven’t already done so, schedule a full system audit. Typical savings range from 30 to 50 percent when the audit recommendations are put into practice. The benefits of performing an audit, such as lower energy costs and higher production line efficiency, usually pay for the investment.
Lose weight.
Is your older equipment dragging your operation down? Upgrading your equipment with the latest technology will help you optimize overall compressor performance, increase equipment reliability, lengthen life and prevent unnecessary downtime due to equipment breakdowns.
Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Earth Day is April 22, 2014. This month is the perfect time to start recycling at home and at work in order to contribute to a healthier planet.
