Happy Veterans Day

/

Veterans Day is a day to show our veterans our gratitude for their service. Atlas Copco Compressors USA is proud to have more than 100 veterans currently employed and is always actively recruiting more.

This year, Veterans Day will be celebrated on Friday, November 11. According to the Veterans Association, World War I officially ended when the Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28, 1919. However, the fighting officially ended seven months earlier on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month when an armistice, or a temporary cessation of hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect. Because of this, November 11, 1918, is generally considered as the end of “the war to end all wars.”

On June 4, 1926, Congress officially recognized the armistice and the end of World War I, making November 11 a yearly national holiday.

Our veterans play a key role in manufacturing with many of the skills they develop in the military translating into the industry. With more than 200,000 men and women transitioning out of the military every year, their technical skills, ability to lead and follow under pressure and experience working in teams bring exceptional value our organization.

At Atlas Copco, culture is everything. Our employed veterans are a big part of the culture at Atlas Copco, and we would not where we are today as a company without the contributions of many of this nation’s veterans.

If you are a veteran or know one who is looking for a job, please visit Veteran Job Opportunities - Atlas Copco USA.

Coming back to today, today is all about saying thank you and recognizing your service – thank you from all of us at Atlas Copco Compressors and we wish all veterans a very happy Veterans Day!
