Compressed Thoughts: Air Leaks

June 3, 2012

Did you know a quarter-inch air leak at 100 psi costs more than $2,500 a year? Compressed air pipe systems that are more than five years old often have leaks that purge up to 25 percent. You must spend money to compress air, so air that leaks out is money that is wasted. Fix leaks, save money. One word of caution here is that around 80 percent of air leaks are inaudible, so, to really minimize these problems, use third-party help to detect these leaks.
