On March 30, Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) driver Kurt Busch won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Martinsville Speedway, holding off six-time Sprint Cup Series champion and eight-time Martinsville race winner Jimmie Johnson. We are proud to be an associate sponsor of Kurt Busch and his No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS and would like to congratulate Kurt and the entire Stewart-Haas organization on this great victory.
Here are a few fun facts surrounding the win:
- This is the first time an Atlas Copco-sponsored car has made it to victory lane in a Sprint Cup Series event.
- Atlas Copco branding appeared on the B-post of Busch’s No. 41 Chevrolet SS and on the sleeve of Busch’s firesuit.
- As part of the partnership between Atlas Copco and SHR, we are providing new compressed air equipment and installing our SmartLink monitoring technology into SHR’s new 125,000 sq.-ft. state-of-the-art race shop expansion located next to the team’s existing headquarters in Kannapolis, N.C.
